Prisma

While others are hooked on the Pokémon Go app, I'm exited by its (hype wise) photography equivalent, the Prisma app. It is one of the most fun photography related apps I have used so far. So much fun, that I try to contain myself not turning every photo I made into a Prisma "artwork".

There are two main reasons why I find this app exiting. The fact that I'm a big comic book fan. This app just asks for being used as a tool for turning a series of photos into a comic book  adventure, and that may very well be my next project. Also the anticipation of creation after uploading a photo and choosing a filter, makes this app very addictive. Some photos work with certain filters, while other combinations sometimes fail.

My favorite filter is the Monoke filter, as you can probably guess by looking at this page. This filter is a beautiful mix between a painting and comic style drawing.

Some complain about the resolution of the pictures this app produces and that it is sometimes so busy on Prisma's servers, that you have to wait a couple of minutes and try again. I don't mind all these things. It's a free service and the images the app produces are good enough for use on the web, where probably 99,9% of the people will display their results.

There is not much more to say, than for me to invite you to take look at the pictures below while I pick up my iPad and turn more of my photos into little masterpieces ;-) Enjoy!
